Traveling nearly 800 miles per week gives me many opportunities to witness and photograph the strangest of events. Some of those would never make the local newscast, let alone the newspaper. Thus, it seems my duty to describe and share this "Nearly Newz" with the public.
It may be that Ron (of the barber shop above) owns the Sonic as well. If he doesn't, Sonic's growth in Shawnee, OK sure seems to have imposed upon Ron's parking. Maybe you can get a Slush and a shampoo from stall twenty-two or get a trim and tots to go. (Ron, I hope you were well compensated.)
The days of cheddar bites, bagel bites and cheesecake bites are big right now, so everything miniature must be proof that less is more, so call this number in Coffeyville, KS if you need some mini-bunnies.
I'm not real sure what the point of this is...but if it's supposed to look like a bad landing, what happened to the wings? This is north of Commerce, OK. Someone call 911, quick... before it rusts.
I don't think those Native American languages are all that hard to understand. Like here, do you think the lake is to the right or to the left? Seems easy enough.
Well...it is a real good idea if you don't have an off-road vehicle to STOP when you reach the end of the parking lot, just before you would jump the curb, the landscaping and the next street. This is out back of our new McDonald's in Miami. It is leftover from the former intersection of 11th Street and A Street NE. I'll let you know how long it stays up before anyone thinks to remove it. (Thanks to Chris White for noticing this one.)
Someone has a sad, sad sense of humor or else thay are trying to make a statement about the dangers of buckling up your baby while changing diapers on the run. Spotted this in an Oklahoma travel store on highway 69.
This has to be the definition of a "bad day". It is also why I don't do my own oil changes anymore. Actually, I saw this prank running around the Pryor area this past Halloween day.

Really, what could be interesting about me? My career of 30+ yrs has been convenience store related. Presently, I am selling fixtures and equipment and doing c-store design. Part-time, I am a sales manager at a Joplin location of the nation's 7th largest c-store chain. Before a brief career with Walgreens, I had supervised 5 salesmen in the Joplin area for a wholesale supplier. My first major career was with a dominant c-store chain in the midwest. Generally, I am creative, somewhat humorous, fun to be with and I love my family and the quirks of the English language. My computer is my friend, and I have over 300 frisbees. After 29 years, I have been divorced since fall of 2007. We have had great family vacations! I would also like to write a book of everything that I've ever written. (Hey, I'm done already!) I've invented about 100 things, patented zero, so someone else has always taken them to market before me and made millions, I'm sure. My family and friends are of great importance to me. Thanks for looking, feel free to email me or comment!
