About Me
- Name: Lynn Brennfoerder
- Location: Miami, Oklahoma, United States
All content herein copyrighted by this author unless noted otherwise. Really, what could be interesting about me? My career of 30+ yrs has been convenience store related. Presently, I am selling fixtures and equipment and doing c-store design. Part-time, I am a sales manager at a Joplin location of the nation's 7th largest c-store chain. Before a brief career with Walgreens, I had supervised 5 salesmen in the Joplin area for a wholesale supplier. My first major career was with a dominant c-store chain in the midwest. Generally, I am creative, somewhat humorous, fun to be with and I love my family and the quirks of the English language. My computer is my friend, and I have over 300 frisbees. After 29 years, I have been divorced since fall of 2007. We have had great family vacations! I would also like to write a book of everything that I've ever written. (Hey, I'm done already!) I've invented about 100 things, patented zero, so someone else has always taken them to market before me and made millions, I'm sure. My family and friends are of great importance to me. Thanks for looking, feel free to email me or comment!

Actually, I've been watching that myself, not a little worried about structural integrity with all that roof load and no wind bracing when I first saw it. Soon after they finished the roof, they added several diagonal braces for temporary support. Now bales of straw are being used to build the actual walls!
This site: http://strawbale.com/why.html says the bales are excellent thermal and sound insulation, fire resistance and save trees (while killing mercilessly millions of innocent wheat or oat plants). It actually costs about 20% more to build, but the savings in utilities will pay for the increase in the cost of the house quickly.
Hey, actually that house roof and columns is being finished with baled
straw walls, probably will be encased with plaster.
