Promoting Patient Confidence...

Nicely decorating the most recently completed portion of a $47 million dollar expansion project at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO is this simple, attractive neon graphic at the roofline of the new wing. It's an obvious replication of a heart monitor (see insert). Hello, Mr. Marketing Director: is this really the message that you want to send the public? "Freeman Hearts - One good beat, then a flat line_________" Seems like someone didn't put themselves in the shoes of a potential incoming heart patient to help them feel secure and confident in the success rate of the hospital. Maybe they could move the one beat to the other end to indicate restarting a stalled heart...or just hire a new graphic designer with a little insight. (I'm available...) Posted by Picasa

By the looks of it, i'd say the idea was that the patient came BACK to life..
